GARAM is a micro negociant based in Bordeaux, France operated by independent wine professional Claire Nam, who has worked on various sides of the wine business from buying and selling to marketing and education. In 2016, she took on the challenge to create a micro cuvve Les Trois Mains in Graves, Bordeaux. The organic vineyard is based in Arbanats, a commune in Graves highly regarded among viticulturists for its outstanding terroir, where the typical gravel rich clay and sandy soils are complimented with deep limestone subsoils.
The wine, named after a song for piano, has a label that also resembles musical notes, although at a first glance they may resemble grass. The primary image of the label created by water colour painting as well as linocut printing in order to deliver the hint of wine taste.
This wine is fresh and elegant, with peach, apricot, spice and a zippy, saline minerality. A pleasant and long lasting finish. Drinking deliciously now, but will benefit with some time in the cellar. Only 1207 bottles were produced. Definitely a producer to watch.
